The rules of the account
These terms cover everyone who opens the Megapari site or the app from Kenya. Registration, betting, money in and out, bonuses, closing an account: all of it sits here. Opening the account means you have agreed to them.
General terms
This section is the frame the rest hangs on. Vdsoft & Script Development SRL runs the platform. The company is Costa Rican, its registration number is 3-102-887249, and its licence comes from Anjouan, in the Comoros.
- You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract;
- The details you register with have to be true, and they have to stay current;
- Terms can change, and a change takes effect once it is published here rather than when you read it;
- One account per person. A second one gets closed, and the first stays;
- The site, the app, the logo and the software belong to the operator;
- Fraud, collusion and anything built to game the system end the account;
- Where a third party service fails or the connection drops mid-round, the operator is not liable for the loss;
- Disputes are settled under the law the Anjouan licence points to, not under Kenyan courts;
- If an account closes, open bets are settled under the rules that priced them;
- Your password is yours to guard, and anything done from your login counts as done by you;
Betting rules
Bets come from registered accounts and nowhere else. A bet is live once it shows in your history, and from that moment the price on it is fixed, whatever the board does afterwards. Everything below follows from those two lines.
- A bet needs the money in the balance before it is accepted;
- Minimum stakes vary by event and sit on the slip where you can see them;
- Maximum stakes and maximum returns are capped by sport and by market, and the cap shows;
- The price is the one you accepted, not the one the board moved to;
- If an event is cancelled or abandoned, bets are voided or re-settled under the sport's rules;
- A bet taken at an obviously wrong price can be voided after the fact;
- Betting patterns that look organised rather than personal get looked at, and the account can be held;
- Live bets are taken against a feed, and a feed runs behind the pitch, so some get rejected;
- Multiples and system bets settle by their own arithmetic, printed with the slip;
- A stake funded from a bonus answers to that promotion as well as to this page;
Paying in and out
Money moves in shillings. Most of it goes through M-Pesa, with the two local banks, AstroPay and crypto taking the rest. Every payment is matched against the identity on the account, and that identity has to be confirmed before a first withdrawal, not after one.
- Money can go in the moment the account opens, with no documents sent yet;
- Mpesa takes deposits from 10 KES, most other methods from 50 KES or higher;
- Withdrawals are released only once the identity check is complete;
- A payout request goes through a review before it is paid, and the cashier shows its status;
- Money goes back the way it came in, to an account in your own name;
- Visa and MasterCard pay out here and cannot pay in, whichever route you pick;
- Some methods charge a fee, and the cashier shows it before you confirm;
- Bonus money that has not cleared its conditions cannot be withdrawn yet;
- A transaction that looks wrong can be frozen while somebody looks at it properly;
- An identity document, proof of address and proof of the payment method can all be asked for;
Responsible gambling
Gambling causes real damage when it stops being a hobby, and the damage lands on the people around the account as much as on the account holder. The tools against it sit in the settings: limits on deposits, limits on a single stake, limits on how long a session runs, a pause, and self-exclusion. Each applies the moment you confirm it. None of them works if the settings never get opened.
- Nobody under 18 is accepted, and the age check is where that is enforced;
- Ask the desk and it will put a limit in place, or begin a self-exclusion, for you;
- A self-exclusion runs for the period you chose and cannot be cut short;
- An account can be closed on request, with the balance paid out first;
- If betting has stopped being a choice, speak to somebody qualified rather than to us.
Money laundering rules
The operator works to international anti-money-laundering standards, and the Anjouan licence requires it to. Identity is checked before the first payout and again where a payment does not fit the account. Deposits from somebody else's wallet or card are refused. Where money cannot be explained, the payout waits until it is, and the account can be held while that happens. Records are kept as the licence requires.
Personal data
The data collected is what the account needs to work: name, date of birth, contact details, the documents used to verify you, and the record of what has gone in and out. It runs the account, clears payments, answers your support messages and meets the obligations the licence puts on the operator. It is not sold. You can ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion, and the full version of these rules is in the privacy notice.
Security measures
Accounts and payments are protected with ordinary current practice rather than anything exotic. The list below is what that means, and most of it only works if you switch it on.
- Everything between your device and the site travels over an encrypted connection;
- Two-factor login is available in the settings and is worth the extra tap;
- Payments are watched for activity that does not match the rest of the account;
- Access to the platform from outside is filtered before it arrives;
- Security is reviewed rather than set once and forgotten about;
- Passwords are stored hashed, so nobody at the operator can read yours;
- Account activity is logged, which is how a strange login gets spotted;
- Payment details are handled to the standards the payment providers work to.
